Post Malone - 'Hollywood's Bleeding' Album
#PostMalone fascinates me because he does not have a linear narrative. His metal-head-gang-gang-I'd beat that bitch wit a bat-look has thrown me for several loops since he made his debut in 2016. I love and loathe it equally and those conflicting emotions pique my curiosity to no end.
Then he dropped "Sunflower" in 2018 and my respect for him as an artist skyrocketed and I started paying closer attention. Then he released #HollywoodsBleeding, his third studio album on September 6th, 2019, and there was no question about it....I HAD to pay and listen #applemusic.
Post Malone transcends across different genres -- from his production, the gritty sweetness in his voice and melodies (a total contradiction to his appearance), to his lyrical content and delivery. I appreciate that. He also sounds lighter and happier on this album, which made listening to it enjoyable -- for me.
In closing, I feel like there's something profoundly special about who and why Post Malone is....and that makes him intriguing, which fascinates me even more. It's a vicious cycle.
